This space is dedicated to presenting data/studies/projects regarding pregnancy – a crucial and determinant stage for both the mother and the foetus and their health.

 

A proper nutrition during pregnancy safeguards the mother’s health and well-being, and, above all, determines the baby’s future health.

 

During pregnancy, some nutrients, such as iron, calcium and folic acid are required in higher doses; the same happens with energy. However, this doesn’t mean eating for two! It means knowing how to choose the appropriate foods, avoiding those high in energy and with low nutritional value, such as soft drinks or pastries.
